OTTAWA, March 22, 2012 — The Competition Bureau is seeking comments on its revised draft Enforcement Guidelines on the Abuse of Dominance Provisions (Sections 78 and 79 of the Competition Act). The revised draft Guidelines are now available on the Bureau's Website.
The Guidelines provide a concise overview of the Bureau's enforcement approach to the abuse of dominance provisions.
In January 2009, the Bureau released a previous draft of these Guidelines for public consultation. In light of revisions made following the consultation, the Bureau determined that a further consultation would be appropriate.
The previous Enforcement Guidelines on Abuse of Dominance were published in 2001.
