Competition Bureau invites public comment on its 2016-2017 Annual Plan

May 18, 2016 — OTTAWA, ON — Competition Bureau

The Competition Bureau released its draft 2016‑2017 Annual Plan: Strengthening Competition to Drive Innovation, for public comment today.

The annual plan shares the Bureau’s priorities and objectives for the coming year with Canadian consumers, other stakeholders and the public.

In line with its mandate to ensure that Canadians benefit from a competitive and innovative marketplace, the Bureau follows an integrated planning approach that connects its yearly activities with longer‑term goals.

The annual plan outlines how the Bureau intends to deliver on each of the strategic objectives from the three‑year 2015‑2018 Strategic Vision over the next 12 months. It also supports the Bureau’s Action Plan on Transparency, which promotes development of a cost‑effective and responsive agency, while providing Canadians with opportunities to learn about the Bureau’s work.

Stakeholders and the public are invited to submit comments on the draft plan by email, fax, or regular mail by June 1st, 2016, to:
