Alternative Case Resolutions
Alternative case resolutions allow the Bureau to resolve some issues quickly and easily without a full inquiry or judicial proceeding. They include voluntary undertakings by companies and individuals to adopt certain measures to correct the impact of anti-competitive conduct and prohibition orders. Resolving matters in this way reduces uncertainty and maximizes the use of Bureau resources, since alternative case resolutions do not require lengthy court actions.
