As the examples here demonstrate, the Competition Bureau sometimes resolves cases using methods other than litigation. This often takes the form of an undertaking from a company that is the subject of an investigation to adopt certain measures to correct the impact of anti-competitive conduct. Additionally, if the Bureau believes a person may be unaware that particular conduct raises issues under the legislation, it may be able to effect compliance by contacting the person to explain the legislation and its potential application to his or her situation.
