Annual Report 1994/95 - The Resource Challenge

Some years ago, to make the most effective use of our resources, the Bureau implemented case screening criteria to identify priority cases. This measure was also implemented because we realized that resources were not sufficient to pursue all cases of merit. Since then, major previously regulated sections of the economy have become open to competition and therefore fully subject to the Act's provisions. Facing the resulting significant caseload increase with a static or declining financial base remains our key resource challenge.
