Competition Bureau Seeks Comments On Amending The Textile Labelling And Advertising Regulations

Ottawa, January 18, 2007 -- The Competition Bureau is seeking public comments on its Discussion Paper, Amending the Textile Labelling and Advertising Regulations . The Regulations were created to provide uniformity and accuracy in the marking and advertising of consumer textile articles and textile fibre products sold in Canada.

The consultation process will be conducted over a 90-day period, ending April 18, 2007. Interested parties are asked to provide their comments by mail, fax or email to: Carole Gaetz, Competition Bureau, 2000-300 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, B.C., V6B 6E1; fax: 604-666-6111.
