Dear Mrs. Gaetz

The Down Association of Canada just had the Annual General Meeting for 2006/2007. We discussed the consultation paper for changes in the Textile Labelling Act at length.

The attending members the DACannual general meeting unanimously recommend that Canada adopt the identical standards for labelling down filled products that are currently in effect in the United States. We strongly feel that this harmonization will greatly simplify the trade in down and down & feather products between Canada and the USA.

The USA standards are well considered, and make sense.
