International Efforts

Canada's Competition Bureau cooperates with counterparts in other countries to counter anti-competitive practices that cross borders. It also participates in international fora such as the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the International Competition Network (ICN) to develop and promote coordinated competition laws and policies in the increasingly globalized marketplace. The Commissioner of the Competition Bureau, Sheridan Scott, has been elected Chair of the ICN Steering Group and assumed this leadership role in February 2007.
