The Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act, the Textile Labelling Act and the Precious Metals Marking Act are regulatory statutes designed to help consumers make informed purchasing decisions. The Acts allows designated inspectors to enter a dealer's premises at any reasonable time; require articles to be made available for inspection; and seize any product, labelling, packaging or advertising material that is not marked in accordance with the Act and Regulations.
